What is Bowl for Kids' Sake all about?
It's about kids and helping them reach their potential! Last year we served over 500 children in the county through a variety of one-to-one mentoring programs making it possible to provide positive mentors in the lives of kids who need or want them. Bowl for Kids' Sake (BFKS) is Gallatin County's largest community fundraiser. It raises crucial funds that go directly towards serving even more children in Gallatin County.
Over 70% of BBBS of Gallatin County's operating revenue comes from our major fundraisers, including Bowl for Kid's Sake.
How do I raise money?
You ask your friends, family, colleagues, hair dresser, and dog walker to "pledge" their support for you. You come to bowl on your choice of weekends in September and bring with you your "pledge sheet" of all the names and addresses of the people who agreed to support you. An even easier way to raise money is by setting up your own fudraising page at firstgiving.com/bbbsgc . Just email your friends and family a link to your page and watch the money roll in!
Why should I Bowl for Kids' Sake?
Because it really matters. With an exploding population and the growing pressures that are put on our youth, Big Brothers Big Sisters is even more relevant. Time and time again, studies have shown the benefits of Big Brothers Big Sisters programs. We have over 30 years (just here in Gallatin County) of proven success in creating positve friendships that benefit children, volunteers, families, schools, neighborhoods, and the community.
